The lifes running at a very fast pace, theres nothing like listening to some good music that calms you down in this hustle and bustle, I have been listening to a lot of different genres of music, sufi genre and trance in general are the styles of music which have always been my favorites .. the two most striking revelations for me recently .. have been BT‘s Album “These hopeful machine”, the album is a mix of electronica, dance and pop music with BT’s signature styles of stutter edits - (Glitching and Beat slicing). I was totally hooked to this album and I think BT is one of most talented DJs out there, his strong electronic influences, and yet being rooted to classical, melodic music is his strength and sets him apart.
I am in complete awe of cokestudio, Arif Lohar’s – Chambey the booty was the first track I heard and boy!, it was magical .. Cokestudio managed to get the best talent in pakistan on one stage, and Rohail Hyatt did a fantastic job producing the show. The songs are performed live, the in house teams is just brilliant, cant praise gumby the drummer enough, he is a magician
.. my favorite tracks are from Sanam Marvi, Sai Zahoor, Noori, Ali Zafar, Zeb and Hanya, Arif Lohar ..
Wish we too have an Indian version of cokestudio, I am just sick of all these singing reality shows on TV, this show would be a relief ..
